Monday Laughs for a Long Week

Cartoonist Brian Gordan, creator of Fowl Language Comics, drew his feelings of the second half of winter about ten years ago. It is still a darling in the meme world, as it succinctly sums up much of our moods during this time:

This is the of year when all the sparkly fun is over for awhile, whether it be Christmas, New Year’s Eve, Valentines Day or even Lunar New Year. Now, most of us don’t even get President’s Day off. It’s just slogging along in the sludge (or dust if you live down South) and boredom until we see the first spring blooms.

To help bring pass this long, boring stretch of the year, here are some mindless yet genius comedy bits that have been circulating on YouTube and the socials (and frankly are the reason the Internet exists sometimes:

For example, comedy rock band Axis of Awesome gives a quick and flawless history of “four chord” hits:

Here’s the Umbilical Brothers demonstrating some physical comic timing mixed with voice talent:

This pair of French-Canadian circus performers, Le Beaux Fréres has been performing this act for some time, but it remains hilarious. My apologies for sharing something from America’s Got Talent, but that really is the clearest recording.

And then there’s Tony the Sign Guy, my new favorite person, who has the best way to sell his products and make us laugh by leading with clips from the überwoke:

When you’ve got the winter blahs or post-holiday blues, laughter is the best drug, take it in copious amounts.
