Here’s a cautionary tale about solo travel. It’s meant to be a fun travel video from Molly Dixon who has a successful YouTube channel. This one is all about day one of her adventure in the Philippines. And yes, there’s a massive lesson tucked in here. And from where I’m sitting. The lesson is don’t travel alone. Yes, you always want to be mindful of your belongings, but you also want to be mindful of your surroundings and if you’re say… in another country. All by yourself.

Honestly, I clicked on this video for the beaches, the scenery and did I mention the host in the bikini? There might have been a host in a bikini. Not sure. It’s possible. Then I was floored to find out this was the Philippines! How beautiful is that place? Holy smokes. Then I kept watching to see how the ‘disaster’ turned out. All I’ll say is this: It’s a happy ending. But wow. What a heads up about traveling alone. This girl got incredibly lucky. First? It was just her phone. Second? She’s a hottie and a local took pity on here. But you’d be an idiot if you can’t imagine a million other scenarios where things for a solo traveler going really, really badly. It’s not a big leap of logic at all.
