So long, South Africa and what happens next?

South Africa is going through some turmoil right now. Let’s take the high road and just call it ‘turmoil’. Are there people taking to stages and calling for genocide? Well, yes. Yes, there are. So, we can add ‘Cause for alarm’ and ‘Call for genocide’ to ‘turmoil’. This is a deeply disturbing clip.

Believe or not, people are fleeing South Africa. What a shock! People are fleeing a legit threat.

It’s tragic. It’s also terrifying and quite sad. All the way around. If you were born in South Africa and your entire life has been nothing but South Africa, it would take a lot to convince you to leave. And people are leaving. Big time,

We’re going to welcome these families fleeing the threat of death, right?

It’s hard to believe that there is ANY pushback to giving a handful of families asylum in America. What’s the problem? They are fleeing for their lives. They speak English and they will assimilate by this time tomorrow. There IS no issue.

There is one thing to consider though. The country of South Africa itself. They are losing some very productive citizens. What do you think the future of South Africa looks like? Yes, the history of colonization and apartheid is very real. It also ended years ago. Let’s focus on now and the not-too-distant future. Will South Africa thrive or crash? And if it does crash? What then?

South Africa is a beautiful country with resources galore. It’s a jewel. Let’s see what happens next for the people left behind. I hope it all works out. Until then? Welcome to America to all the families that just want a place to live where they can be free and happy.
