Let’s take a moment to recognize Marvel TV’s Ironheart. It’s a series that’s coming to Disney+ on June 24. Yeah. This Ironheart show is still a thing. Ouch. This is gonna hurt. Not us, we won’t be watching. We’ll discuss after you are treated to the trailer!
There ya go! Now you’re probably putting the pieces together. Just like me. You’re all: “Oh yeah, that thing that happened in that crappy Black Panther movie… they’re doing a show about that? Oof.”
Now let’s talk about some things I don’t care about. When people say: “Ironheart was in the comics!” Don’t care. Never read it. Not every comic should have their own show. Some characters just aren’t compelling. Ironheart being one of them. Go back and watch the trailer for Ironheart. Lot’s of talk about what she ‘wants’… ‘wants’ being the key word. Not to do a whole writing lesson, but a better question would be ‘what does she need?’
Black Panther needed to save Wakanda. This chick just wants and Ironman suit. Hell. Get in line lady. I want one too! And my own show!
Is the Ironheart character THAT popular? Why even move forward with this show? It’s not compelling and there doesn’t seem to be any excitement for it. Let us listen to the words of the Critical Drinker. Maybe he can shine a light on the mystery of Ironheart.
