Last night, the big, beautiful bill passed in the house. Congress said yes and passed it. There were a couple of republicans who voted ‘present’, but it got across the finish line. In Congress. Now it goes to the Senate. So, let’s take a little look at this thing. Are there good parts? Certainly. Are there concerns? Oh yeah. You can bank on it. But let’s start with the ‘good’ news about the Big Beautiful Bill.
Now, I don’t wanna be a buzz kill. There are a lot of people who seem really happy about the big, beautiful bill. So, what is the upside? And what are the drawbacks? Here’s what I’m finding my big, beautiful concern to be: The size of government and how much money they are spending. Where are the cuts?
Thomas Massie isn’t lying. We have to cut spending. We have to take the DOGE recommendations seriously. Maybe the plan is to cut things bigly after this bill passes? I have no clue how that would look. But we need to keep going. Cut things! Cut, cut, cut!
