It was the social media spat heard round the world. Elon vs the Don. Musk vs Trump in a very public war of words on Musk’s social media platform, X. Yesterday, the vast majority of social media users and political pundits were left with one question: What is happening here?

Let’s take a look at some of the spicier posts and hot takes. Then I’ll chime in with my best guess as to what we’re watching.

This one seemed like BS to me. I just don’t see Elon decommissioning his spaceships. Maybe that’s just me.

This too seemed like BS. Elon has been very public about not liking the EV mandate. Strange stuff. However, things got even spicier!

This is where my BS detectors were going off, full blast. Really? The Epstein Files? Okay. Release them! I think this was the general consensus all the way around. Let’s see who was doing what! Who was on that island and what crimes were committed? Let’s go!

Here was my favorite though.

As of right now, a full 80% percent of respondents to the poll want a new political party. Huzzah! And this might be the main reason for the “spat” between Elon and the Donald. Showing DC and Swamp just how precarious their position is. It serves as a reminder that the American people still have the true power. The GOP can drag its feet when it comes to doge and spending cuts, but they’ll all get replaced IF a third party enters the stage. I’m all for that. Do what the people voted for or get replaced. That’s what I think this ‘feud’ was about. Theater, meant to show the DC swamp creatures just who held the reins of power. It’s not Elon, Trump or the Swamp. It’s us.
