Let’s go ahead and add “Sword of the Sea” to the list of games we’ll be playing. I was on the fence on this one for about 20 seconds. On the upside? Sword of the Sea reminds me of the game, Journey. On the downside? It reminds me of Journey, and I loved that game. If you haven’t played Journey, I highly encourage it. That’s all I’ll say about that.
Another plus is that no one is ripping off Journey. Sword of the Sea is directed by Matt Nava who was the Art Director of Journey. So… no harm no foul. Dude wants to do a surfing in the desert game? Who are we to say no? Count me in. Sword of the Sea releases on PC and PS5 on August 19th. Now I need to check out The Pathless too. Another title from studio, Giant Squid.
