So, this John Leguizamo fellow took some time out of his busy day to make a video talking ‘smack’ about Dean Cain joining ICE. Okay. Whatever. Let’s talk about it though. And the bigger picture for this whole thing. The part about John Leguizamo and his relentless pursuit of self-sabotage. That’s what this looks like. First? The video in question.
Okay, as a comedian I feel the insult that Leguizamo lays out was incredibly lame. Is that the best/worst Leguizamo can do? Is he okay? Is Leguizamo struggling with some personal issues? It seems like it. But now the video is out there, and John Leguizamo has to deal with the fallout. Dean Cain will be fine! That’s the funny part to me. Dean Cain gets a ton of work and now has a side hustle doing something patriotic!
Leguizamo on the other hand is doing his best to sabotage whatever is left of his career. John Leguizamo isn’t a marquee name. Dude gets some small roles in some big movies sure. But in Hollywood terms, he’s hanging on by nubs. Now with this video he’s reminded people that he’s a legit threat to a production’s success at the box office. Half the country might get a bee in their bonnet and decide to boycott any flick with Leguizamo in it. People do stuff like that.
That will end job offers really quick. Who should the studio hire? John Leguizamo or some other actor who ISN’T potential box office poison? That’s not a tough decision to make. My advice to Mr. Leguizamo is to put the phone down. Delete the video and concentrate on being the best actor/comedian he can be. Say what you want to your friends. Keep bathroom rants off the internet and hang on to the threads of your career with both hands.
As always, educational and humorous! I didn’t know who this John Liguizamo person even was. I stand enlightened.
HA! My apologies for making the introduction. LOL!
