If you’re new to the whole ‘One Piece’ phenomenon, welcome aboard. It’s a really good bit of entertainment. Surprisingly good. Let’s see what happens to the show in the upcoming seasons. This is the real test.

I only started watching One Piece when it premiered in 2023, in case I wanted to make fun of a ‘Woke’ show on the YouTube channel. One Piece is maybe the most successful Manga of all time, and I wanted to see what Netflix would do to probably ruin it by injecting massive amounts of ‘Woke’ politics. Well, I was in for a surprise. One Piece was by far one the best bit of TV for all of 2023. I loved it. I thoroughly enjoyed the hell out of this show.

Let’s not dip into any spoilers. I’ll just say this: I loved the first season of One Piece, and I really hope that it doesn’t ‘get woke’ in seasons 2 and 3. That would be a shame. One Piece is doing just fine. There’s no need to inject politics into this massive success. Season 2 hits Netflix in 2026.
