It’s 200 years after the apocalypse and time for season 2 of Fallout. We have the trailer for and also some thoughts. Mostly some notes about improvements that could be made. Fallout returns to Amazon Prime on December 17th. We love the cast, the look of the show, the juxtaposition of the violence with the old timey 50’s soundtrack. We appreciate the all the video game elements that the producers included in the show. The Fallout video game is the only reason we’re all here. Now let’s talk about how to make a better TV show.
The ‘Fix’ I would pitch to the writers of Fallout is this: Start asking ‘why?’ Why are these characters doing what they are doing? Does this resemble any real reaction to these situations. That’s a really good place to start. Why? Let’s just say that season one was desperately lacking in this area. Characters just did things because it was in the script. There were some embarrassingly bad writing choices in season one of Fallout. The show can’t be completely carried by the art dept. special effects, sound and cast. At some point you have to write better scripts. Here’s hoping season 2 of Fallout is a huge success.
