Talk about a mixed bag of news. This! A new study from MIT says that 95% of AI projects will fail. I like it! Can we get that number higher? How about 100%? That won’t be happening sadly. Looks like AI is here to stay. But it’s worth looking at the results of the study and talking about why. Why are most of these AI projects doomed? And what does it all mean?
It’s not the AI. It’s the users. Doh! That one hurts. The problem isn’t the programming; it’s with the people interfacing with it. It’s crazy, but you could make the argument that AI is ALREADY smarter than humans. That’s the part I still don’t think people have grasped about AI. Do we really want to launch a thing that is smarter than us? The answer of course is no.
