Now we got some drama! We got a good one for you. Let’s talk about Philly Karen and life lessons learned at baseball games! This story has it all! People are already lining up on both sides of the issue, but it’s not the issue that might pop into mind at first. This one is far bigger.

Okay, right out of the gate we got a home run ball in Philly. Dude runs over and grabs it for his kid. But this other lady was making a grab at the same time and thought the ball was hers. Philly Karen confronts the dude! Starts making a scene and dad gives her the ball. Watch.

This is where the twist comes. People are less than thrilled that dad gave the ball up. Check this out:

It’s also worth noting the kid got hooked up with all kinds of swag from both teams! LOL

So, there’s the story. And I am 100% on the side of Dad. People can talk all the shit they want. And they will!

After a bit of thought, I’m still on the side of dad. (Even if kid didn’t get any swag) Here’s why: The Story. Dad and son will always have the story of the time they went to the Philly’s game and there was that crazy lady. Remember that day son? Your birthday, and that lady went crazy? She was nuts! Good birthday though! The game was good. We had some ballpark food; there were presents and cake. Oh! And that crazy lady! Watch out for those, son! LOL!

Dad put up a helluva win on this one. IF he yells at Philly Karen? There’s a chance he looks like the bad guy and the kid is never quite sure who was in the right. His dad took the high road and it paid off in spades. He still has the respect of his kid. And he’s not getting memed into oblivion.

Now in terms of the “this is the problem with America now” and the “guys are getting bullied by crazy women” crowd. Here’s something to chew on. You’re right and you’re wrong. What skews the metaphor is that this was public, sporting event. The arena doesn’t work for the metaphor. IF Philly Karen and the dude were the main attraction? If everyone showed up to watch Philly Karen vs Birthday Boy Dad? You’d be correct. Dude should never back down.

In the hierarchy of importance? You kids birthday is at the top. Then having fun at the game, after that? The confrontation with Philly Karen. Lasty, making it out of the ballpark parking lot alive. It IS Philly.
