It seems something was left out of the 9/11 memorial that The Zohan is going to build to the hijackers, but this has been corrected, in that there will be a minaret at the top with 10,000 watts of public address speakers facing every direction so that everyone can benefit.
I have to take exception to the NYC buses being fast, free, and safe. All three can’t be done. Acutally, just the ‘fast’ part. I mean, the level of fare compliance / enforcement already makes the bus free for locals in the know, and no one in their right mind with any money would set foot on one, so in efect they are also safe because in a fast-paced environment like NYC, it’s just not worth robbing someone who doesn’t have at least $50 and a few credit cards. But back to the ‘fast’ part: I object on scientific grounds because the only way the buses can be fast is to give up an entire lane of traffic to them. Now, I’m all for public transport, but trying that in NYC will result in the thickening of the regular traffic until sheer frustration jams it right back into every open space present in the bus lane when a bus is not right there.
