It was October 20th, 2024, and Donald Trump took a 45-minute shift at McDonalds. It was quite possibly the best campaign stunt of a generation. Not to mention all of the memes it still continues to give us!
People have been dissecting this moment for long time so, I may as well too. Here we go. Kamala Harris appeared to lie about working at McDs. So, Trump picking up a shift on Fries and Drive Thru made perfect sense. Here’s what resonated though: It looked like Trump was genuinely having a good time! He legit wanted to do a good job! He liked meeting the people! You can’t fake that. Well, you can, but Americans will see right through it. With Trump’s personality, the McDonalds stunt was an absolute winner. We’re still loving it.

The normal public loved it and the libs and Democrats seethed because they couldn’t compete with Trump’s ability to be his authentic self while learning how to make french fries and handing out burgers,fries and chicken nuggets out the drive thru window while talking to customers. He loved every minute of it and so did we. The memes that followed only made it more legendary. Thank you for the fun article Michael!
