We just want two things really. One? Enjoy this trailer for Predator starring Elvis. It’s a fantastic bit of fun. I’ve probably watched it at least 4 times, myself. It’s great. After the trailer? We’ll discuss that second thing we need to do in light of AI movies. This Elvis in Predator thing is funny, but this is just the start. Now things get really tricky for us and AI.
Okay, so that was fun. Now for my little ‘heads up’ moment: We need safeguards. We need assurances that there’s some hidden watermark or something buried deep in the image for all AI created pics, and videos. This Elvis/Predator trailer looked good. We’re heartbeats away from not being able to tell the difference between AI fake and reality.
Put anyone in any situation and you can have video of it. Sure, that sounds fun. But we’ll never be able to trust our eyes anymore. “Here’s video of a politician in the middle of a drug deal, sex scandal, fist fight, whatever… is that video real? We need some built in safeguards. Pronto. And no. The watermark isn’t going to be enough. Not even close. Nobody would ever think to use AI to get rid of a watermark… Sarcasm. That was sarcasm.
This Elvis/ Predator video is very cool. I don’t know if you’ve seen the Elvis as Han Solo video ,being a big Star Wars fan or Elvis as Captain Kirk. It’s crazy and entertaining but it’s also very scary as we venture into what is real and AI fake.
I agree there needs to be safeguards. Hopefully it will happen before things get out of hand and it’s used for nefarious reasons.
I enjoy these videos,but I do so with a twinge of concern where all this is headed. Enjoyed the article and the video. Thanks Michael!
They are very cool. And very realistic looking. We are moments away from believable video of anyone you can imagine doing anything you can imagine on video. Gonna be scary. Politicians are going to have a field day. Here’s a clip of my opponent having sex with the babysitter. We’re gonna need some way to separate the fakes!
