Welcome to the wonderful world of dramatic overreaction. It’s a game played by political parties when they think they can score some credibility points with the general public. The latest version of the drama is the edition of a ballroom to the White House. Some pundits are acting as if the White House was being torn down or blown up (hence the Independence Day movie picture) while the truth of the matter is way more mundane.
Are we supposed to believe that the Woke Mob that tore down statutes of historical American figures suddenly concerned about a ballroom being added to the east wing? Is that the game we’re playing? That’s going to be a tough sell.
