We’re still in the middle of a government shutdown and thing are about to SNAP. (Sorry about that. It was right there) Let’s talk about SNAP though, the Supplemental Nutritional Assistance Program. It’s about to run out of money! As of November 1st, there will be no benefits issued. And you’re going to snap when you find out how many people are on SNAP.
So, let’s just digest that: One in Eight Americans… or 43 million people? What in the actual fuck? Anyone else see how that could be a problem? That is a shit ton of people we’re feeding! And the Dems are arguing over more health benefits? Again: What in the actual fuck? How about no? How about hell to the no?
The numbers of people who are on this “assistance” program are just insanely high! And it would be enlightening to see just how long people have been on this “assistance”. It’s a temporary measure. Not a way of life. And aren’t these benefits meant for Americans?
This is one of the best arguments for drastically reducing the size of government ever! If you want to feed tens of millions of people, you Mr. Washington bureaucrat need to cut government spending to pay for it. And put a ticking clock on receiving the ‘assistance’. This is insane!
women going crazy in the stores buying as much as they can. one woman has two carts full of sodas, cakes, cookies, ice cream, sugary cereals, canned biscuits, some halloween candy, frozen pizzas, bread, rolls, etc. i didn’t see any meats, vegetables, (not even canned ones), no spaghetti or sauce, not even hot dogs or lunch meats. milk,(which is freezable), etc.! then complaining on how she was going to feed her two kids, she was quite overweight. i doubt these people realize that it wasn’t necessary to spend everything they have on their card! i get a small amount on an ebt card, but i tend to buy things on sale or non perishable items and i have a small stand up freezer. usually i can make the funds on the cards last all month and even sometimes have some left over that is added to the next month. i am a diabetic and a low income senior so i don’t buy junk food and food i can eat is usually higher priced than the junk foods, but i manage because i know how to budget and buy sensibly!
It’s crazy! And I had no idea just how many millions of people were on this ‘temporary assistance’. Absolutely bonkers!
