Well, what do we have here? It would appear that an agreement has been reached to reopen the US Government. What happened with the Shutdown? What was gained and what was lost? I know, I have my thoughts as to why it ended. A theory really. We’ll also check in from around the internet as well.
Just so we’re all on the same page, DC isn’t talking about an actual budget. They are fighting over a Continuing Resolution. The CR just keeps the money flowing. They will fight again very soon. Here’s some info on what a CR is and what a CR does.
A continuing resolution (CR) is a temporary spending bill passed by Congress to fund the federal government when it has not yet passed the regular appropriations bills. It provides “stopgap” funding to prevent a government shutdown and allow agencies to continue operating, typically at the same funding level as the previous year, until a full budget is enacted
The duration of the current Continuing Resolution (CR) is uncertain and is the subject of ongoing negotiations, though the most recent one passed by the House was set to expire on November 21, 2025. Lawmakers are discussing options for a new expiration date, with some discussions focusing on a new deadline in early 2026, such as late January or March.
Okay. So now we know about CR’s. So, why the fight this time and why did it end? Here’s my theory: The politicians in DC didn’t want the American people to look under the hood of the Government. I don’t think they wanted all the spending and all the grifts under a microscope. We, the taxpayer would have blown a fuggin fuse.
All the talk of continuing the ‘temporary’ Obamacare subsidies had opened a can of worms they would rather us not think about. Too many questions. Questions like: How many illegals are we paying healthcare for? How much money is all this costing? Exactly how much are we spending on government? How is our money spent? Stuff like that.
These numbers are completely insane. We’re being taxed like never before and the people paying the taxed are getting scammed to death. Are you happy with how the money is spent? Do you feel undertaxed? And do you think basic services are good? Like police, roads, fire fighters. Basic shit.
Can we get Elon Musk and DOGE fired up again? The DC scam has to end. Think big picture here. Elon was on Rogan’s show and said he could cut the budget in HALF! And get MORE done. I believe him.
And if you thought all the USAID stuff was gone? I got some bad news for ya.
We need to clean house. The grift is almost beyond imagination. The shutdown was putting a spotlight on the money and where it all goes. That’s the last thing DC wanted.
USAID is our money. They run the money through NGO’s that claim to be doing a good deed or public service. They cost billions of dollars and in my opinion are almost entirely nothing more that fronts to move massive amounts of money into people’s pockets. It’s a great scam. The government funds an NGO with a name like ‘Save the puppies’ for hundreds of millions. Some DC politician has a ‘friend’ or relative work for the NGO. That person dispenses the money. And they ‘Save’ a couple of puppies each year and it costs us billions. That’s just one of the scams. And it’s still going strong.
So why did the shutdown end? Money. They don’t want the taxpayers looking at the books. That’s my opinion.
