I can’t remember if we’ve ever featured David Bowie on Sunday Jams. But it doesn’t really matter oner little bit, because we’re doing it today! I might have recently watched the documentary, Moonage Daydream about Mr. Bowie and while the film was a disappointment, it’s fired me up to highlight some great tracks. My issue with film is mostly with the sound by, the way. The mix was a nightmare.
But alas, I digress, here’s 3 tracks that I think are just fantastic. These might not be greatest hits either. Hopefully there’s at least one surprise. Now, these are songs to cook breakfast to while you overcome a possible hangover. Them the rules for this reoccurring column. Here’s 3 songs from David Bowie for Sunday Jams. You can probably bang to these too. Depending on the level of hangover. We’re here to help.
This is a cover song, but it’s just too good.
David Bowie has been my favorite since 1975, so you’ve made a friend for life with this jam! (No hangover to speak of…)
I love I the song, “I’m Afraid of Americans” with Trent Reznor. Day after being in Bloomington, the day after the game, I am hydrating…listening to ur tunes!
Sweet! I always forget about his stuff with Trent Reznor! That shit is great! Glad you’re hydrating! That’s key for…all the fun!
He was great. Just fantastic stuff. Congrats on the no hangover! Well done!
Michael, What a spectacular choice for Sunday Jams. You can do as many Bowie ones as you want. I’m good.
Great song choices . Sorrow is one of my favorites. Even though it’s a cover,Bowie made it his own. Sound and Vision just puts me in a good mood everytime I hear it. China Girl is such a cool song and I love the video. Bowie was so ahead of his time.
Thank you for highlighting one of the most unique musical artist to ever walk the earth.
You always amaze me with your great taste in artists and music. Thanks Michael!
P.S. Solon Woodall was on the last livestream. I let him know how great his songs were and I posted for everyone to go to your website to give him a listen.
Very cool of you to recommend Solon’s stuff. I liked it too! and how good of a song is Sorrow?! I love that one! Hope you’re having a splendid weekend! I just got into NY. Late! Gutfeld tomorrow! Woohoo!
