The Rolling Stones have released a super deluxe version of their 1976 album ‘Black and Blue’ and it’s a jam-packed treasure trove that I cannot get enough of. There’s just tons of goodness here. Blu Ray of live shows, booklets, tour poster and yeah loads of music. And plenty that hasn’t been heard until now.
Let’s go. I’m looking at you, Santa Claus! Bring me this box set of Black and Blue from The Stones.
Here’s the track I can’t stop listening to: “I Love Ladies”. Just fantastic. The groove on this thing. We need to add some more oh’s to grooooove for this one. Keef’s hook at the beginning is fugging tasty and Mick’s vocals? Come on! What else could we want? This one is on repeat over here.
I’d buy The Stones “Black and Blue” just for that track. The 1970’s Stones did not suck. Turns out those dudes are great in any decade. Keep going fellas!
All I have to say is: I WANT! I WANT!
This box set looks amazing! I am beyond stoked for this Stones deep dive of unreleased recordings and rare performances with all the extras. I was listening to “I Love The Ladies” (on repeat) while making Suzanne’s Apple Pecan Loaf (absolutely yummy) A fantastic song. Has any other guitar player come up with more hooks than Keith Richards? He’s amazing and Mick’s vocals are still killing it.
I hope Santa brings this great box set for you for Christmas
Dig it! We all need this! Alert Santa Claus. ASAP!
