Congratulations to everyone involved with the 2025 Game of the year, Clair Obscur: Expedition 33. This is great news for not only gaming, but entertainment as well. Way to go, Sandfall Interactive! They won a bunch of others as well.
I haven’t had a chance to dive into Clair Obscur yet, but you better know that I’ve already asked Santa to hook a brother up. Now, let’s talk about this game and why it’s so good for everyone.
It’s original. And It’s affordable. That’s the mix. Free content came out as they were accepting the award for GOTY last night. And the game itself? Around 40 bucks. Sweet.
Originality is always going to be key. Do we want sequels? Sure. Do we want to experience new stuff? Hell to the yeah.
Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 is available on all platforms. I’ll be enjoying this one my PlayStation, thank you Santa. Now here’s a bit of a review from The Critical Gamer.
I’ve saved this part for last, but it’s worth noting. The Entertainment industry is always going to be looking for new Independent Property to gobble up. Hopefully the smart people who developed Clair Obsur: Expedition 33 will remember the independent part. It’s what made the game great and that will be key when the studios come knocking. And they will.
