So, the headline from the NY Post is: Former AT&T model Milana Vayntrub raises $500K selling ‘tastefully risqué’ pictures for LA wildfire victims. Okay. I guess. It’s a free country. Do whatever you want! Right? Not so fast. I have some troubles with this. Hear me out.
Okay, I have to admit. This story intrigues me for a lot of reasons. Firstly, I think it’s the whole ATT spokeswoman thing. That was always fun. She looks so business friendly in the commercials and then when you see here off set? Wow! She’s gorgeous! Stunning!
But wait. She doesn’t want to be oogled. She says she doesn’t want that. In 2021 she said we’ve lost the privilege of looking at her. Hmmmm. Okay. Have it your way.
But now she’s back. Selling ‘risqué’ pics for charity. Not so fast.
The story now, is she raised 500K for Fire Victims in LA. Fine. That’s noble, I guess. But I can’t help but feel used. And I didn’t give a dime. This whole endeavor is…unseemly. It feels gross. The girl says she doesn’t like the attention for the sexy time pics but then comes out and starts selling sexy time pics. Oof. I would tell her to pick a lane but she’s already picked. She doesn’t like it. Stop.
Unless you’re just using people and that’s kind of gross too. You see, Lily started her own website ‘Only philanthropy’ and that’s where you get the pics. Hmmm. So, it’s okay when she does it on her website. Which it is by the way. Let’s just be honest about it.
Milana Vantrub definitely gets to say how she’s portrayed. It’s her life. It’s also our choice to decide how we perceive her. She’s always going to be the nice girl from the ATT commercials for me. The sexy time girl, ship has sailed. Too many mixed signals. Good luck out there.
Well, she was always a model I guess, though for such an ostensibly respectable entity like AT$T, a somewhat greedy and slick plastic child of the Bell Company (which today we might recall as very respectable and old-tyme sort of decent, or is that just my childhood speaking?), one would expect better from her than to engage in business with a thinly-veiled low key reference to the popular ‘fans’ site. AT&T probably couldn’ care less, but Alexander Graham Bell would spin in his grave at this turn of events. Different times LOL. I’m glad she raised money for the victims, now lets watch to see how much of it gets to them without being siphoned off by NGOs. I hope everyone has blessed holidays! And I do mean every one 🙂
It looks like she’s just motivated by money. Yes, she raised some dough for good cause, but it’s all on a platform that she owns. LOL! She’s showing skin to drive traffic to her site. Classic.
