About Rob Reiner

This is a post about Rob Reiner. The actor and Director. I came home last night and after my flight to NY got cancelled, I was a little miffed at the inconvenience of it all. Then I sat down and started scrolling through the phone as one does nowadays. That’s when I came across the heartbreaking news about Rob Reiner and his wife. They had been murdered. They were both dead. The end.

To say this news came a shock is one the bigger understatements of the year. The death of Rob Reiner is one of the bigger rug-pulls ever. I’m of the age where there this guy has always been around. All in the Family and movies and politics. Never in my wildest imagination did I think Rob Reiner would be murdered. It was like someone had flipped a switch. One second everything is cool and the next second it’s lights out. Suddenly my cancelled flight was of zero importance. Life is short. Make the most out of every second.

Now we’ll get into the part of the post where we look at some of the finer moments of Rob Reiners work. We’re keeping politics out of this. Let’s just enjoy some highlights of an incredible career.

Just look at that run! Holy smokes.

We’ll learn more about Rob Reiner and what happened to him and his wife and why. There will be plenty of people who say and do things for clicks. That’s all for another time. We’re all still in disbelief right now. What happened to Mr. and Mrs. Reiner was a horrible thing. Our prayers are with them and their family.

Thank you for keeping the political arena out of your remembrance of Meathead aka Rob Reiner.
This is Spinal Tap, Stand By Me and Misery were my favs that he directed.
The fact that he and his wife were taken out by their own flesh and blood really saddens me to no end. Who would have ever thought that would happen? Money, social status and fame are overrated and in opposition to our Heavenly Creator’s plan.
Merry Christmas to you, the family and everyone here wanting lots of seriousness happiness in their lives.πŸ˜ŽπŸ‘πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡ΈπŸ’—

I was shocked and saddened to hear of Rob and Michele Reiner’s deaths. The fact that it was at the hands of their own son, makes it even sadder.
He was in our lives from All In The Family to the
latest Spinal Tap movie. In between them, a creative and prolific directing career brought the some of the best movies of the 80’s and 90’s. Whether it was This Is Spinal Tap (a huge favorite),Princess Bride or A Few Good Men,Reiner was determined to get the best performances out of his actors and have the story come across the screen He also mentored young directors and championed their work. It is a tragic end to a successful and creative life. My prayers to them, their family and friends.

      1. This one hit hard. Like you, Lynne, I grew up engaged with just about every movie he did.

Amen to that. Cannot imagine what the family must be going through. Not sure if you watched any of James Woods on Jesse Watters show but it was really good. Woods and Reiner were good friends. It’s all just so sad.

It’s just horrible. Reiner knew how to make a good movie though. The guy made some classics!
