3 Amazing BTS Performances

Last week, BTS announced their new 2026-2027 World Tour, and it is a big deal.

Not only is this their first tour since 2022, shortly before their military enlistment, but it will compliment the March 20 release of Ariang their first studio album since 2020. Their latest compilation album was in 2022.

The pre-sale for all nine versions of the Ariang CD and vinyl have sold out on their Weverse site and enrollment into the official BTS ARMY fandom (both global and US) rose by millions in order to gain pre-sale access for tickets.

Okay, why is this such a huge deal that a K-Pop boy group, now made up entirely of military veterans by the way, is going on tour? It’s just another overhyped, overpriced concert, right?

Not at all.

Well, first of all, they went out of their way to hit cities and venues other K-Pop groups have never even considered (including the Sun Bowl in my hometown of El Paso), but those who know anything about BTS know their stage performances are off the charts.

Here are three performances, two from live events, that show why BTS is has gained such a huge following:

Melon Music Awards “IDOL” Live Performance, 2018

“ON” Kinetic Manifesto Film

“Butter” The 64th Grammy Awards

Whether you love or hate K-Pop, or whether you think it didn’t exist before K-Pop Demon Hunters, you have to admit there is something about the energy created by this group.

I wish all of those wanting tickets this tour to score some seats, because the BTS is about to remind audience everywhere why they are the biggest global group on the planet.
