Welcome to the big news for January 22nd, 2026. There are the stories that get the headline and want your focus, and then there’s the truly important stuff. Sometimes the worlds collide and they all match up. Usually, they don’t. Somehow the events that truly affect your life are kind of buried in favor of whatever the flavor of the day is. It’s almost like we’re not supposed to pay attention to the real stuff. The news that matters. That’s where we come in with the big news. Tada!

Here’s the stories that are worth looking at today. Again: It’s usually not what’s trending on social media, but sometimes it is.

The massive fraud is still numbero uno. The fraud is huge. Our taxes pay for the fraud. If we stop the fraud? We keep more of OUR money. The fraud spending is estimated in the trillions. WTF?! This should be headline news every day until it stops.

Voter ID. There’s lots of talk about the SAVE act. Let’s get Voter ID done. This is an incredibly popular issue for the vast majority of Americans. It’s a no-brainer. You don’t have to nuke the filibuster. Just have a vote in the senate. Who wants to protect democracy and who wants to cheat? It’s cut and dry. We can make voter ID happen. Americans want it.

And lastly, Pam Bondi and the DOJ actually arrested someone! Nekima Levy Armstrong. She was one the people with Don Lemon at that church service ‘protest’. Reportedly Nekima is well paid for her protesting. That’s how it made the list of ‘The big news’. Will the DOJ be going through Nekima’s checking account? Where did the money come from and who was paying?

Sadly, I have a sneaking suspicion that the money comes from a non-profit or NGO and that we the taxpayer were funding Nekima’s activity. Which brings us back to story numbero uno: Ending the fraud.
