Let’s go! For real. Let’s go back to the moon. Not only that, but let’s build a permanent base and use that as a launching point to get humanity to the stars. Once upon a time that would just be an idea that was discussed in magazines like ‘Popular Science’ or ‘Omni’. (Anyone else remember Omni magazine? That thing was great) Well, put down that old magazine and look up! With the launch of Artemis 2 we are headed back to the moon and I am stoked! It’s fantastic. Let’s talk about it.
Before we go any further with this post, I want to give a big shout out to Elon Musk. That dude and the kids at Space X got everyone fired up about rockets and space again. I’m stoked that NASA lunched another Lunar mission, but you can’t talk about being hungry to get off planet without talking about Musk, Starship, heavy falcon etc. Now back to our Artemis 2 coverage.
And here’s a breakdown of what Artemis 2 will be doing on the mission.
Still not a huge fan of the way NASA farms out parts etc. to subcontractors, but I’d be lying if I didn’t say I was busting with patriotic pride just seeing this beast of a rocket. Made in America.
Again: This is very nitpicky but can we kind make the Interior… look cooler? More sci-fi? Am I being a dick?
Here’s the interior of a SpaceX rocket… I know it’s kind of apples and oranges… but it would be nice.
With all that being said, I am completely thrilled with the Artemis 2 mission. This is a big deal and let’s keep going. We’re going back to the moon and it’s fantastic! Let’s go!
