Let’s talk just a little bit about the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame 2026 list of inductees. A little band by the name of Oasis is in this year. Oh! And a giant shout out to New Order. Why just talk about these two groups? Because it’s my website and this is one of the bonuses. You get to do what you want! Huzzah!
Okay, let’s start with who is in.
Oasis? Yes. Come on. Those guys put rock back on the mainstage with their last tour. Fucking epic.
Am stoked for Sade as well! Good stuff. That band didn’t miss. But for some reason I am especially stoked for New Order. I guess it feels like they never really got the accolades they deserved and I’m happy that they are at least being recognized by the Hall.
Listen to the melody on this. Absolutely killer. It works on every level.
And let’s not leave before the shout out to Oasis. Who did this:
I cannot wait to hear what the inductees have to say. And the jam session should be worth watching too. Sadly, the event is going to be in LA. That blows. But I’m not on the committee.
The 2026 Rock & Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony will take place on Saturday, November 14, 2026, at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles, California. The ceremony will be recorded and aired in December 2026 on ABC and Disney+.
I really like the list of the people who got in this year. I’m a sucker for the performances and the big jam at the end. I do wish INXS would have made it in. Maybe next year
Ever since Prince played the Hall of Fame with Tom Petty, Jeff Lynne, Steve Winwood and Dhani Harrison (George’s son) on the song, While My Guitar Gently Weeps, and blew the damn doors off the place, I haven’t watched another Hall of Fame ever. To me, that performance was IT!!
Additionally, there are so many great artists that should have been in the Hall long ago and as of today, still aren’t in there, such as the following …..
J Geils Band
Huey Lewis and the News
Ronnie James Dio / Rainbow / Montrose
Sammy Hagar / Montrose
Scorpions
Boston
Styx
UFO
Billy Squire
Aldo Nova
Night Ranger
Y&T aka Yesterday & Today
