Jimmy Kimmel, the onetime radio guy who spent his early years getting fired for lame stunts, is hanging onto his current gig at ABC for dear life after yet another dismal attempt at comedy. Someone on Jimmy’s staff thought it would be funny for Kimmel to do a fake Correspondents dinner skit and have Jimmy deliver a ‘joke’ about the first lady having the glow of an expectant widow. Meh. Not a funny joke. Especially when you factor in the multiple attempts on the President’s life. It’s low class. It’s a joke aimed at a very small part of the viewership.
Now, this is America and you can joke about whatever you want, almost. But people don’t have to like it. And you know who didn’t like it? Millions of Americans and The First Lady.
Now, we’re in a spot where people are calling for the boycotting of ABC. Good! That’s how this all works. Networks make shows to entertain and if it’s not entertaining, people will let you know.
We’ll have to see how this all plays out. Just know that this is standard operating procedure for Kimmel. Dude isn’t a comedian. He’s a guy who gets jobs in radio and then gets fired for some bonehead move.

That’s who Kimmel is. He’s got some talented friends like Carolla, but Jimmy has never been a comedian. He’s not in the club. He’s at best a game show host and guy who pulls lame pranks and gets fired. It’s boring really.
But somehow, someway he got a late night gig and he has been in over his head from day one. He’s not cut out for this line of work. He’s not funny. The only time people talk about his show is when he’s done something horrifying, like his little monologue after the assassination of Charlie Kirk. And now, here we are again, talking about a lame radio guy after another lame attempt at ‘edgy’ comedy. It’s boring, predictable and unwatchable. Who needs a boycott when no one is watching already?
Want to see the ratings? ABC’s Jimmy Kimmel Live! held the second spot at the 11:35 pm hour with 2.17 million viewers (down 5 percent) and 228,000 demo viewers (down 13 percent)
The biggest viewership was over on cable, where Fox News’ Gutfeld! once again drew the largest audience, with 3.53 million total viewers and 300,000 demo viewers in the 10 pm slot.
ABC has to be bleeding money with the Kimmel show. It’s an expensive piece of real estate at 11:35 on Network TV. And only bringing in 2 million sets of eyes ain’t going to cut it. Kimmel has to be hanging on for dear life over there at ABC.
Who knows? Maybe he can squirt out some tears and hang on to his gig a little while longer. Let’s just not call Jimmy Kimmel a comedian. He isn’t one. Not by a long shot.

I waited until the media reported on Kimmel’s show (because I’m not watching that low life putz) to see if he was going to apologize for what he said about Melania and well…I wasn’t surprised that this subhuman excuse for a person,arrogantly defended his disgusting words without a hint of remorse or humanity. Much like SNL’s Weekend Update joke about Lincoln’s assassination when Trump attended an event at The Kennedy Center,it’s so commonplace now,they feel empowered and almost obligated to say anything they deem fit to defile and insult Pres. Trump,his family,his administration and supporters, including his assassination. Will ABC fire him? I doubt it. It’s great for the ratings. We’ve already gone down the road before and it didn’t pan out the way we hoped. He’s getting too much oxygen already and he’s probably happy that he ticked off The Donald and Melania. That unfortunately is a win for that smug a-hole and his show. If ABC does nothing, then expect more it until his contract runs out this year. We can only hope ABC comes to it’s senses and cuts him loose.
That show that Kimmel does has to be losing a fortune. That’s the concerning part. ABC doesn’t care about the money. The message is that important to them. Also: The Dude just isn’t funny. Kimmel getting a late night show never made sense to me. Oof.
