Okay, now this rainy afternoon is shaping up. We’ve got new music to check out from The Rolling Stones! Two singles, baby! These songs are from the new Stones album, ‘Foreign Tongues’ which comes out on July 10. Whew! Good times.
Now until we can get our grubby little hands on the whole album, let’s check out what the Stones have been cooking up. There’s ‘In the Stars’ and ‘Rough and Twisted’. Check em out and let us know your fav. Git yer headphones out! Or just listen. We’re cool with whatever.
I’m personally leaning towards ‘Rough and Twisted’. That heavy blues shit is just fantastic. It’s worth noting that Paul McCartney and Robert Smith are making appearances on this album too. What? Looking forward to hearing that!
These are some great songs. I am so stoked for this album. I have to agree with you about “Rough and Twisted ” It’s my favorite. It has that Memphis Dirty Blues sound going on and it is fantastic. I knew Paul Mc Cartney was making an appearance, but I didn’t know about Robert Smith. I also saw the album will feature one of Charlie Watt’s last recording sessions. I can’t wait for it come out.
FYI: I don’t know if you’ll see this before tonight because you’re traveling,but Keith Richards is going to be on Jimmy Fallon’s show tonight May 7th talking about the new album.
Dang. Think I missed it. Keith has been on Fallon before. Maybe it’s a guitar player thing. That should be a fun appearance tho. Am very much looking forward to the album too!
