Howdy! Are you here for some of that buzz around the finale of The Boys? Hope so, because that’s what we’re doing. Full disclosure? I enjoyed the first season of The Boys quite a bit. The second season wasn’t horrible. By season 3? I tapped out. I legit didn’t feel the need to waste my precious time on this show.
So, here we are, looking at the end of a pretty long run of a show. 5 seasons is nothing to sneeze at. For that accomplishment alone? Congrats to all involved. Now for the truth about showbiz, tv and legacies: You are pretty much only remembered for your finale. When shows muff the finale? It’s really, really bad. Game of Thrones anyone?
Evidently the finale of The Boys was awful. The internet is letting lose with both barrels. Homelander (once a phenomenal character) devolved into a parody of himself. The final fight in the series finale is the object of all the ridicule.
As always: We never blame the actors. They didn’t write the thing. They are actors. Anthony Starr was pretty damn good in this show.
The writers decided to take some shots at Elon Musk for some reason. It’s baffling.
