New ‘Supergirl’ Trailer isn’t helping. Neither is the PR. Ouch.

We have a new trailer for Supergirl or as I’m thinking about maybe calling it: John Wick with a Super chick? Dunno. It felt funnier a minute ago. Oh, well. Let’s talk about the new trailer for Supergirl and some of the issues that are popping up for this flick. It’s not looking good, people.

I don’t know about you all, but the more footage I see? The less I like it. The whole premise of the movie seems to be a stripper fantasy. Meaning this: A single girl who parties too hard (stripper) has herself fooled that she’s doing okay. Then some bad guys hurt her dog, and she wants to get her dog and kick all the bad guy’s asses. You could make this movie in modern times with a stripper in Florida, and it would be more compelling. (The stripper wouldn’t have superpowers, so her journey would be way more interesting) Oh well. Here’s the new trailer for Supergirl. There’s trouble beyond the trailer though so keep scrolling.

I still can’t get over the Super Stripper aspect to this. Once you see it, you can’t unsee it. But now to move on to the other troubles facing the ol’ Supergirl production and studio… and star.

Is there something wrong with being a Christian? Must’ve missed that memo.

The WB and DCU need to hire some new PR people. Just saying.

Just one more thought before we move on. For a movie to succeed in the theaters? It has to be a destination. People have to want to see the movie right away and in the theater. Excitement is everything. And I don’t know about anyone excited to see this movie. Oh well. We can always go to the strip club and talk with a dancer with abandonment issues. Supergirl opens on June 24th.

Saw this trailer before seeing Mandalorian and Grogu. First, great analysis of this. It gave me no feeling of, I have to go see that! Throw in a little Liam, she has a certain set of skills…… And I wondered how some of the parents with 8-10 year olds at M&G were going to explain what was going on.
