Here’s the final trailer for HBO’s House of the Dragon. It’s war time. And there’s boatloads of footage of dragons destroying thing. That’s cool with me. It’s fine, I guess. Just give me some spectacle of dragons wrecking stuff. That is all I’m going to ask for at this point. I’m just being honest.
Do I know any of the characters names? Nope. It’s all been ‘this guy’ and ‘that girl’ from the very first episode. The entire show is built on a merry mix up of names and who said what to whom at some point. Meh. It’s too late to go back now, so let’s just enjoy some people who are really mad at one another and they have fights… on dragons. That’s fine. Just make it look cool.
This isn’t the craftmanship of the OG Game of Thrones. This is HBO’s House of the Dragon. It’s a whole different thing. Gone are the days of sly looks meaning everything, hidden agendas and sex, sex, sex. Nope. That was a different thing altogether. This is House of the Dragon. We don’t get much banging anymore. It’s all about giant dragons and fights. So be it. I’ll watch. I just hope the good guys win. You know who I mean… that one girl.
