Hey. Thanks for coming by. Let’s take a look the Lucas Museum of Narrative Art. It opens in LA this September. Now in the title I called it the George Lucas museum. That was for the search engines. It’s actually George and his wife, Mellody Hobson who made this thing possible. Don’t want to leave her out of this awesome accomplishment.
Now, when I say this museum of narrative art looks wonderful, that is precisely what I mean. I look at the building, and I am full of wonder. This thing looks incredible and yeah, I am stoked to check it out. I will legit plan at trip back to the old stomping grounds of LA just to see this place. Look at it!
That is unique and easy on the eyes. I love this building. The look of it. It’s a far cry from the Obama library which looks like a prison from a Star Wars movie, ironically.
So, let’s get back the beautiful stuff. The Lucas Museum. That’s what we’re here for. Here’s more about what goes on inside. Yeah, there will be a theater. That’s kind of a given. But just look at that thing! Holy crap is that gorgeous!
Here’s more. And I agree with the person who posted this. It gives me hope that there are still artists out there who still give a damn about all this. Beauty, art, storytelling. It’s wonderful.
Just posting this as an appreciation of the quote.
And here’s a bonus. This wonderful place didn’t cost us a dime. It is fully privately funded by George Lucas and his wife, Mellody Hobson. Multiple sources, including official announcements, news reports, and the museum’s own details, confirm this.
Thank you, George Lucas and Mellody Hobson. We’re looking forward to visiting the Lucas Museum of Narrative Art. It looks wonderful.
What a wonderful museum. It says quite a bit about George Lucas and Mellody Hobson that they wanted artist be featured in a building this impressive. It’s so inspiring to see the art of storytelling integrated throughout this outstanding building with works of classic art, illustrations, movie poster art, comics, cinema along with Lucas’s Star Wars cinematic artifacts, to enthrall art and cinema lovers as well as Star Wars fans ( I’m a fan of all three) alike. I love that illustrators will be given a platform rarely seen in galleries. It’s about time. It’s wonderful that anyone under 18 can get in for free and the regular price ticket at $25.00 is a steal to see the so many amazing pieces of art, go to the theater to see a documentary or marvel at the Star Wars props. I could easily spend a week there. This 10 yr project by Lucas and Hobson is something to marvel at and be grateful that they have decided to generously share their collections, and love of storytelling with us all. What a unbelievable gift.
I am seriously gonna plan a trip. The Lucas Museum and the Telsa Diner. Those are on the list. Woo hoo!
