Oh, let’s go. Let’s get into some Sunday Jams with some underrated songs from The Beatles. This will be a handful of songs to hopefully make your Sunday just a little bit better. That the intention. Now maybe someone over here at TLP world HQ got a Beatles songbook and has been trying to play some of these on the guitar. Maybe that same someone hadn’t thought of these songs or heard them in a long time. And maybe, just maybe that someone thought he’d share them with you. I don’t know, It’s just a theory. Here’s some underrated songs from The Beatles on this week’s Sunday Jams.
George Harrison. Come on now. Savoy Truffle. I’m a sucker for those fat ass horn sections blasting away. Crank it up and get dancing.
I’m always thrilled when my favorite band in the whole wide world is featured on Sunday Jams. It’s awesome that you got a Beatles songbook and learning some songs. Some great song choices. ‘Hey Bulldog” is such a fun, quirky song. John Lennon barking and howling at the end just makes me smile. “Don’t Let Me Down” is another great tune. I never understood why Phil Spector kept it off the Hey Jude album. John Lennon’s impassioned plea to Yoko would have made a great addition. “Savoy Truffle” is one of my favorites off the White Album. The horn section just adds a punch to it. A great tune. I always enjoy your picks for Sunday Jams and your fine taste in music. Thanks Michael!
Thanks! Am also on a bit of George Harrison tear. That dude is severely underrated. And McCartney is killing my fingers with some of his crazy ass chords. Ha!
