Oh, Tartan Army. Boston is going to miss you.

A few days ago, a group of soccer fans from Scotland descended on Boston for the World Cup. The Tartan Army blew into town and put on an absolute clinic on how to have a good time. It was awesome. Dancing, singing, all hours of the night and day the Tartan Army was having a good time. To say it was infectious is quite possibly the understatement of the year.

These wacky Scots were having so much good fun, it was trending almost daily on social media. The Tartan Army was turning up everywhere. And everywhere they went things were suddenly better. Bars. Fenway Park for baseball game and of course the World Cup game where the sounds of Scottish fans singing set new records.

Now the Tartan Army moves on to Miami. It happens. Nothing lasts forever. But know this: You crazy Scots showed Boston a good time. You’re fantastic and we don’t ever want you to change. Boston will miss you. Thanks, and good luck. Here’s some of our favorite moments from Boston and the Tartan Army.

When the cops were into it, we knew something different was happening.

Who is Super John McGinn? Don’t know. Dude has a fantastic song though.

You have to give some credit to the Fenway Park DJ. They cued up a banger for the Scottish fans.

Listen to this. Amazing.

Good-natured mayhem. That sounds about right. Godspeed, Tartan Army. You will be missed. Until next time. You’re adventures in Boston are the stuff of legend.

They are loving America and America is loving them right back. I can’t wait to see what they do in Miami. I want to party with the Tartan Army!
