Elvis Presley on an early years Sunday Jams

I always get the feeling that people only think about the 1970’s Elvis when they think about him. That’s a bummer. Most seem to have forgotten about why he was popular to begin with. Maybe they have no idea. Maybe they just think Elvis just appeared one day from outer space. Hell, maybe that’s what really happened. All I know is this: We’re letting too many great songs go unheard. So, let’s remedy that. Here’s some old school Elvis on Sunday Jams. We’re talk OG Elvis. The early years

This one is from 1956. Crank this up. Hot damn this is good. Just put this on a loop and let me get in my Cadillac and go.

Be careful with this next one, ladies. You might get pregnant just listening to this.

I really enjoyed your pick for Sunday Jams. The early Elvis Presley songs don’t get the love and exposure that his songs from the 70’s recieve. I really enjoy the simplicity of them because they aren’t swamped in overproduction. You can listen to Elvis’s one of a kind voice doing it’s thing. My mom had every Elvis album there was and they were always playing at our house. Some fantastic song choices. Tomorrow Is A Long Time is a big favorite. His voice is just perfection on that one. Blue Moon really showed off his range and yowsa! the vibes coming off that one. Mystery Train is just an amazing song and I know it’s one your favorites (Mine too!) It has everything. The great guitar. The infectious rhythm and of course ,the cool and memorizing vocal by the King himself. Just killer. A stellar pick for Sunday Jams. It’s always a blast to have someone who appreciates great music and share it with al of us. Thanks Michael!
