Well, the Supreme Court just ruled on Mail in ballots. Hmmm. They say that ballots that are postmarked on election day should be counted. Okay. That, of course sounds reasonable. If that was your ballot, you would want it to count. Now let’s take a look at reality: Anyone can shove a fake ballot or forged ballot into an envelope and pop it in the mail. That kids, is no bueno. That’s just cheating.
You could have warehouses full of fraudulent votes that have all been postmarked by election day. This is why so many countries got rid of mail in ballots. And of course, that’s what America should do as well. Go back to how mail in ballots were supposed to work. You’re sick, you’re out of the country, you’re in the service. The old school way. That’s still cool. But get rid of mass, mail in ballots.
And while we’re doing that, how about Voter ID? Everyone want’s that too!
Wait a second. We’re describing the SAVE act! How about that?
If only the GOP had control of the House, the Senate and the White House. Then we wouldn’t be shitting ourselves about Supreme Court rulings. We could pass laws! Shocker. This seems reasonable.
For some reason, all of this seems unreasonable to Sen. Thune. Hmmmm. Very strange. Very strange indeed. Why oh why would he not be in favor of the Save act? Is he in on the steal? What does he gain? Someone needs to expalin why this guy won’t budge on the Save act. It is the craziest shit in modern politics.
I’m still trying to process the complete disregard for our elections by Chief Justice John Robert’s and Amy Coney Barrett. Granting that amount of time after an election to allow mail in ballots is not justified. It opens the door for copious amounts of fraud. It’s mind boggling. This is where the Senate comes in. John Thune is being accused of trying to stall the SAVE Act until after Aug. 5th,which is when the NVRA (National Voter Registration Act ) 90 day Quiet Period goes into effect and states are no longer able to systematically remove ineligible voters before the midterm elections, which is required under federal law. After Aug.5th,individual removal is limited to death, certain criminal convictions or voters own request. If Thune doesn’t do anything between now and the Senate’s almost one month break this will become a real possibility. If we can’t get Thune and the usual suspects to pass the SAVE Act,this will be a colossal failure that the GOP and our country will never recover from. Scott Presler said on Benny Johnson’s show yesterday that he was told by several Republican Senators that he was demoralizing the party with hid pressure campaign on Thune and the Senate. Presler told Johnson, and I’m condensing it,that the only thing that is demoralizing is that we have the Presidency, control of both Congress and the Senate and we can’t pass the SAVE Act. I believe much like Tim Burchett that the establishment GOP are done with Trump and MAGA. They are waiting for the midterms to bring their reckoning and they can go back to the way things were. And that’s the ugly truth.
