Somebody in Hollywood owes Robert Eggers a big fat check. Here’s the trailer for Eggers’ Werwulf. Yes, it looks fantastic. And I mean that in every sense. It looks like a great movie, and the movie has a great look. There isn’t a downside to what Eggers is doing. He’s making awesome films for a nickel. The movies make a ton of money and fans of the genre are happy. Tada!
It’s not rocket science. Find a guy who actually cares about the source material or in this case, myth and give him 50 million bucks and then watch the money roll in. Nosferatu cost 50 mill and made close to 200 million. That’s a good return on investment. But enough about money. Take a look at the trailer for Werwulf.
