Let’s take a look at the reaction to the latest immigration news. People are letting their opinions be known on social media and it’s pretty sobering. Maybe you could call it venting? Maybe you could call it screaming into the digital abyss. All I know is kind of cathartic to know you aren’t the only person that sees things the same way.
Here we go. The US already has a huge illegal immigration problem. That is what propelled Trump to the White House in 2016. The whole “build the wall” thing. Now here we are, looking at a Supreme Court decision about Anchor Babies and Automatic citizenship for any kid born in the US. If it wasn’t so insane it would be laughable. Yet here we are.
Yes, people are mad. Good! Let’s see what they’re saying and if it makes sense. Shall we? Maybe the issue is that people aren’t mad enough. (Just thinking out loud) Sometimes the fastest fix to a problem is to flip the hell out.
It would appear that this is where we are now.
This would do it. But the chances of it happening in reality are slim to none.
It feels like we’re at a moment where one of two things will happen: Either the elected officials will step up and actually do something about this issue that has plagued America for decades, or the people will do something. Doesn’t it seem like that to you? We can wish and vote for change, but if nothing changes? Something is bound to happen,
I wasn’t surprised by the Supreme Court decision after the reports of how the oral argument turned contentious. The remarks made by Barrett and Robert’s led me to believe that the case was not going to go Trump’s way. So now, where is this fight going to go? Misplaced anger gets you nowhere. This has to be a strategic attack from all sides.Laws will have to be enacted and changed to stop this colossal judicial travesty in it’s tracks. I agree with you that immigration should be stopped, but it’s unlikely. We’ll see what avenues Trump and the GOP venture into to deal with it through legislation. Executive Orders won’t cut it. The time is now fix this threat to our country’s future.
P.S. I have to say I felt so bad for you Greg,Kat, Joey and Tyrus last night sweltering in that horrible heat on Gutfeld! I know you like hot weather but dang. I loved all of your” I’m sweating like…” jokes. What you go through to entertain the heathens. A Happy 4th of July to you,Michael. It’s time to blow up some fun fireworks. I’ll be watching the 12 firework shows that go off from my backyard with a cool drink. Have a good one!
