The Odyssey reactions. Woke, or no?

Hey! You might have missed the news, but there’s a new Christpher Nolan movie. Yeah…it “The Odyssey”. Its new spin on the classic Greek tale that’s been around for thousands of years. Yup. And here’s some more news! People don’t like it and they aren’t being shy about voicing their opinions!

Oh well, we’ll post more about The Odyssey as we learn more about it. Not rushing to the theater though.

    I don’t know if it is, I haven’t seen it – I can get past MilkToast Matt Damon as a Greek or ANY Mediterranean hero -mythicla or otherwise (blame my Italian/Sicilian/Greek genes).

    I think we all missed Nolan’s vision. You have to view the changes with Inception and Tennat in mind to get into Nolan’s head. The bard is telling the story, from HIS perspective, and HIS imagination. The changes are reflecting the BARD’s bias’ and imagination. The bard is black, so he assumes the most beautiful woman must be black, Odysseus must have committed war crimes, etc. – all in THE BARD’S INTERPRETATION of events. I get it now, I may not like it or agree with Nolan’s concept, but I can see what Nolan did here.
