What in the world is this? A trailer for Amazon’s Rings of Power? Season 3?! I gotta say, this one totally blindsided me. Didn’t we kind of think they gave up on this turd of a show? That’s what I was hoping. This vanity project is costing a fortune, and nobody is watching. Yet they are still making new episodes?

Okay, so here’s the trailer for season 3 of Rings of Power. A show that really feels like an extended insult to Tolkien and his life’s work. The more I think about this show, the more insulted I am. So, let’s see what kind of visual candy they shoved into the trailer. That is the recipe. They try to give you a bit of excitement with a couple of interesting snippets of scenes, then the show is hot garbage. An experiment in poorly written, expensive crap. And just so you know; I have zero plans to watch any of this. Amazon won’t get any clicks for Rings of Power from over here. I’d rather just watch reviews on YouTube.

Just a reminder that Amazon has hired some good directors of photography. Some good cinematographers as well. The visuals don’t suck at all. The problem is the story and what these poor actors are paid to say. The scripts are shit. Explosive, verbal diarrhea. Horrible writing.

PS. Something else has occurred to me as I think about Rings of Power: Could this be a gigantic tax write off? Sure. Is it also a way to muddy the waters of search results? Also, yes. This shows existence will keep popping up when people search for Tolkien and Lord of the Rings. Over time? That will potentially turn into a shit ton of clicks. And once you make some content? It’s doesn’t really cost Amazon anything to keep on the platform. They can pick up garbage clicks from Tolkien fans who are looking for good content. It’s all pathetic, no matter how you look at it. This show is a shit stain.

I trust the Drinker way more than Amazon.
