Here’s some nightmare fuel for you. A company in California is developing a centaur-style robot. Yup. You know, to help you out with… things. How many times have you been in the middle of something and thought: Wow. A big dark, scary looking centaur robot with horns would really come in handy right about now. Yeah. I think that happens to most of us on a daily basis. Well, guess what? It’s coming!

I saw the video of that thing thinking it was a joke, but the more I checked it out,I’m wondering ,is it a publicity stunt or actually real and crap your pants horrifying? Either way ,that is some messed up robotics from some nerds who have way too much time on their hands. I’m all for using robots to go into dangerous and life threatening situations ,but if I’m trapped in a wildfire and I see that thing coming at me with a chainsaw,I’ll assume it’s armageddon and the robots have taken over. The only thing more terrifying would be that possible clown feature. I’m not a fan. You hilariously wrangled this madness into a very entertaining article. Thanks Michael!
It has to be a publicity stunt. There is no way someone would actually expect people to but the centaur robot from hell. LOL! It’s working though. I certainly stopped in my tracks when I saw it! Bonkers!
I hate this thing with every fiber of my being. Also, not to sound like an absolute nerd but the naming convention is weird…..this thing is a centaur. A satyr is a 1/2 goat, 1/2 man (I’ll let you assume which half is which). One of the more famous satyrs is Pan.
