It’s time for the season 2 trailer of one the big surprises for me on Netflix: Blue Eye Samurai. I was fully prepared to dislike this show and ended up really enjoying it. This is a classic hero’s journey tale that is well written and the art design is one point. I dig the look of the show. This doesn’t feel like the usual Netflix anime. It feels like someone actually cares about the show.

Is Blue Eye Samurai perfect? No. Is it a fun watch? Absolutely. I’m very much looking forward to season 2. Blue Eye Samurai returns to Netflix for the new season, January 2027.
