It’s been one year since the assassination of Charlie Kirk. He’s immortal now. They might have killed the man, but you can’t kill the idea. The Spirit. That’s what I want to talk about today. Charlie Kirk’s spirit. His happy warrior mentality. That’s the key to all of it as far as I’m concerned.
The dude was confident without being smug. He carried himself with the confidence of someone who was correct. And in his famous student debate videos there was the sense that he wasn’t being demeaning or talking down to anyone. It was more a shared information vibe.
Charlie Kirk was backed up by truth and he knew it. There’s no need to scream and yell when you are correct. It’s just a matter of presenting the truth and letting it settle in. Tada! That’s some powerful stuff right there. And when the side you’re debating can’t ‘win’ with reason? They have to silence the person they disagree with.
So, they shot and killed Charlie Kirk and we are missing him. It’s incredibly sad that he isn’t here. But they can’t kill the message. They can’t kill truth. It’s immortal and will still be the truth long after everyone is gone.

It’s hard to believe that Charlie Kirk has been gone a year. He was paid tribute to on social media,podcasts, ceremonies,and statue dedications that honored this truly special man, husband and father. I’m not going to discuss the ugly side of it all. Those cretins are not worth it. George Orwell once said”The further a society drifts away from the truth,the more it hates those who speak it”. That was Charlie. He was a truth teller in a society that either embraces or despises it. He championed open debate and welcomed anyone who stepped up to the microphone and wanted to defend their stance on any subject. Did he intellectually destroy them? Yes,but he did it respectfully with facts and superior knowledge. His loss is immeasurable not only to his family and friends ,but to young people,especially young men. Charlie was a beacon to them as they were lost and adrift after being told they were toxic and part of the problem. He wanted young people to live a life of purpose with family, faith and patriotism as it’s foundation. We all miss Charlie. It still hurts that he’s not here fighting the good fight with us. I truly miss that. His message and truth will live long after us and that is something that will never be forgotten. A wonderful article and tribute to Charlie Kirk. Thank you Michael.
Thank you! I’ve been thinking alot about Charlie and I keep coming back to just how much more ‘regular’ people can do. We have to look at Charlie as inspiration. Optimistic and fearless. Just keep going and going!

You are right about normal people making a change. We need to unify. I hope it can be done soon. Any ideas how we can do this? I see a lot of people turning to their faith, and that is good but there needs to be more. I have wrestled with this question for a couple of years now.
