This is the day. September 11th. This is the day for memorials and speeches and for families. Sept. 11th is the day we’re all reminded of just what real evil looks like. Whenever I think about the World Trade Center attacks and the Pentagon and United Flight 93 that ending in Shanksville PA I’m reminded of this: 2977 dead. It’s a staggering number.
There are theories about who was really responsible and there always seems to be a new piece of information out there. Let’s not lose sight of the insane loss of life. Almost 3000. Someone killed 3000 people. That is evil. That is pure evil.
So, as we look back on September 11th after 25 years, remember the ones we lost. All of them and let that be a reminder that all of this can change in an instant. Nothing is guaranteed. Evil is out there and it has no problem taking 3000 souls.
