The Just and Righteous Printer Revolution has begun. They have pushed people too far.

Hi! How ya doing? Are you ready for the printer revolution? I know I am. More and more, I’m seeing people online who are justifiably and righteously upset about the state of modern printing. And we’re talking about printing stuff in your home. The simple act of clicking a print icon on your screen and having the thing you want printed to actually print has become insane.

The companies that make printers have pushed us too far. Now once upon a time all you needed to do was hook up a printer to your computer and you were good to go. Sure, we pay insane prices for ink, but that was just par for the course. Then the printer companies too things too far. You need an app to use the printer. It’s my belief they just want access to your personal data so they can sell it. Then they required a membership and a subscription. Then they wouldn’t let you use off brand ink. The bullshit has piled up, year after year and people are righteously upset with the state of printers and printing. It’s bullshit and we need to change things. Pronto.

Here we go: HP has begun releasing printers with a subscription plan to use your own printer

“Instant Ink Ready” is a subscription plan where you pay monthly based on the amount of pages you print

Again, you already paid for the printer, the ink, the paper and the power to operate it, but HP also wants you to pay a subscription plan to use it… insane.
