Here we go. NieR Replicant ver.1.22474487139 is almost here. We just have to wait until April 23 when it comes out for the PS4. Yup, we haven’t made the switch to PS5 yet. Feels like Sony made 8 of those consoles, so we’ll be waiting with the rest of the globe. But enough of that. Let’s talk Nier Replicant. (I’m not typing all those numbers every time.)
Full disclosure: We were a bit late on the whole NieR party. I jumped into these games shortly after NieR: Automata was released and it blew me away. Legitimately one of the best games in decades. A true gem. The story was great. Artwork, gameplay, all of it was top notch. Challenging and fun.

Special shoutout to the art design team. They came up with some truly original looks and just iconic characters. This is one of those rare “every frame is a painting” moments. Bravo. Just a winner, winner chicken dinner all the way around. That’s when I started to get excited about the previous games in the franchise that I hadn’t played.
Enter NieR Replicant. Now it’s been remastered and re-released for the PlayStation. I’m all in. Originally Nier Replicant was released for the PS3 in Japan. Way back in 2010. But now it’s our turn. HA!
If it is anything similar to Nier Automata it cannot fail and it looks like it is. Sweet. Let’s go. Admittedly, I know very little about the story and that’s just fine with me. I got so much faith in game developer Cavia and publisher Square Enix that I’m good to go. Confidence is high.
