I Confess, I Like Humor That Agrees with Me

I’m going to be honest, I try to say that I can take jokes that poke fun at me and my conservative values. I mean, we have to, right? The majority of the jokesters are liberal and that’s OK.

But I do confess that sometimes I don’t think something is funny because it feels like an attack. It’s not all my fault, Colbert, Meyers, Noah and the gaggle of the execrable late-night comedians give off false positives. And I did laugh pretty hard at Jim Carrey’s spot on Biden impression.

All that said, there is a deficit of humor that leans right. Or even rides up the middle. As my gracious host, Mr. Loftus, noted, Hollywood isn’t interested in right-leaning (or even-handed for that matter) content even if they secretly like it.

Which is why I’m over the moon with Greg Gutfeld’s new late night show.

It’s hilarious, most of the jokes hit, the guests are great and, most of all, its humor appeals to me. There, I said it. It’s OK. If it ever becomes clapter, I’ll show myself out. I promise.

Nice article! Gutfeld’s show is definitely a step in the right direction. Agreed that we’ll not offer any clapter and you can tell that his audience is honest, which is good. Eventually they will earn proper laughs, coz they can honestly gauge what works and what doesn’t. I’m looking forward to seeing where his show goes.

It’s doing really really well in the ratings. When they are allowed to bigger audience for tapings? It could REALLY get wild. Am stoked.
