This just in from our WTF department: So-called scientists are discussing the notion of human engineering to fight climate change…among other things. We wish we were kidding but we’re not. This is real, Jurassic Park level stuff. Meaning, just because you CAN do a thing doesn’t mean you should. Ya follow?

Scientists are now discussing the notion of using genetic engineering on HUMAN BEINGS that would give these new humans traits that would help solve world problems like climate change.

Here’s a few ideas that were floated around.

Genetically engineer smaller people. If humans were smaller they would eat less and be easier to transport. You’d save on food and energy. Just make humans smaller…like ya know, a breed of dog. You’ll save so much on food and electricity! Yay!

Or…you could genetically change humans to be allergic to meat! Hence, no more need for cows. Hence, less cow farts. Hence, slowing global warming.

Those are a couple of the ideas. We wish we were joking…we are not. These are REAL people in the scientific community that are discussing these things. Legit talking about changing the genetic make up of human beings just as casual as can be.
