$60,000 PER TENT for San Fran Homeless. Now the Gov’t Wants MILLIONS More.

This just in from our, “You’ve gotta be kidding me department.” The city of San Francisco has several homeless camps called “safe sleeping villages” that it maintains. Now, of course, this is the government we’re talking about, So the cost per tent averages out to be $60,000 per year. Evidently they believe this endeavor is going SO well they are looking for another 20 million taxpayer dollars to keep it all going.

What a complete and total fiasco. The word boondoggle comes to mind but somehow seems too small. I’m leaning towards more of an expletive-filled rant quite honestly. Let’s just say this: No. No, no, no. No fucking way.

This kind of thing is precisely why I loathe big government and big government solutions. It is beyond outrageous. We cannot turn the homeless problem into a cash grab. Once there is a giant pile of money to be made off of homeless people, there will never be a solution. No one will be interested in solving the problem. There’s too much money to be made.

That’s my humanitarian side talking. My fiscal side is unavailable for comment as it passed out after reading the headline.
